Re: "To these younger users, technology is oxygen."

Not quite. To these younger users, technology is their life blood. It's Daddy's credit cards that are their oxygen.

In general, Nokia does a fine job, though I haven't used one in years. I find that the Blackberry is also extremely responsive with no delays, so I am guessing from her review that the Nokia, the iPhone, and the Blackberry are rare in their lack of delays when answering a call.

Each of these has their fans. The iPhone is also wildly popular for its "demo-doll" capabilities. I know of a hugely successful businessman who owns both an iPhone and a Blackberry (and a Challenger 600; money is no object whatsoever), and uses the Blackberry 98% of the time. I know a hugely successful entrepreneur who owns and flies his own turbo-prop Meridian, and he uses the iPhone exclusively. But he doesn't wax poetic about it; his passion is directed at the Meridian. (The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys, and all that.)

To each his own.

My fingers are big and the E71's keys are small. Texting isn't easy for me, but I'm getting used to...
E71 is a very nice phone.

Oops, isn't the iLife part of the reason that Macs cost more? I own both Photoshop Elements and iLife 08 but I use iPhoto much more often because it's fast and easy.

I'm sure there are a ton of video editing programs for Windows, and some may be quite good, but adding a good photo and video organizer/editor erases part of the price difference.

I'm enjoying your commentary about the Nokia, though.
