Earlier today, I burned up the calories running around San Diego’s Fashion Valley Mall, where Microsoft opened its fourth retail store the same day Apple released iPhone 4. The events meant long lines outside both shops, although considerably larger outside the Apple Store. This clip is the first of about a half-dozen interviews conducted outside the stores. Each tells some story. I will be posting them throughout the next couple days, most of them unedited as recorded. I had planned several this evening, but Tumblr restricts number of audio uploads. How utterly dumb is that?
